Peran Data Statistik Dalam Meningkatkan Efektivitas Manajemen Pendidikan Tinggi di Era Digital

Digital transformation has shifted higher education management toward data-driven governance. Statistical data plays a strategic role in supporting objective, accurate, and evidence-based decision-making processes. This study aims to examine the role of statistical data in improving the effectiveness of higher education management in the digital era. The research employed a qualitative descriptive approach through a literature review of books, official reports, and scholarly articles published between 2020 and 2025. The findings indicate that statistical data significantly contributes to strategic planning, institutional performance evaluation, quality assurance, accreditation, and resource management. In addition, statistical information supports institutional leaders in identifying trends, evaluating organizational performance, and formulating more effective policies based on measurable evidence. Furthermore, emerging technologies such as Big Data, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Business Intelligence (BI), and interactive dashboards enable universities to monitor academic performance in real time and improve administrative efficiency. Nevertheless, challenges remain regarding data quality, digital literacy, system integration, and data security. Therefore, strengthening a data-driven culture, improving digital competencies, and enhancing technological infrastructure are essential for improving governance, supporting sustainable decision-making, and increasing institutional competitiveness in higher education
